Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui budaya religius di MTs IN Banyurip Ageng Pekalongan, untuk mengetahui proses budaya religius mendukung pembentukan karakter Islami, kendala budaya religius dalam membentuk karakter Islami siswa MTs IN Banyurip Ageng Pekalongan. Penilitian menggunakan jenis field research. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif. Sumber data primer pada penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa MTs IN Banyurip Ageng Pekalongan. Sumber data sekundernya yaitu dokumen yang menggambarkan keadaan MTs IN Banyurip Ageng Pekalongan, keadaan guru, jadwal kegiatan budaya religius, keadaan siwa-siswi MTs IN Banyurip Ageng Pekalongan serta sarana dan prasarana yang ada di MTs IN Banyurip Ageng Pekalongan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan tiga teknik yakni pengamatan terlibat, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif model Miles and Huberman. Dari hasil peneltian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakter Islami pada diri siswa dibentuk melalui pembiasaan-pembiasaan baik yang dilaksanakan secara terus menerus seperti, teladan dari seorang guru dan kedisiplinan. Budaya religius telah terbukti dapat mendukung pembentukan karakter Islami siswa, namun telah ditemukan beberapa kendala budaya religius dalam membentuk karakter Islami siswa.
